WHO WE ARE

About PHX Mags

Phoenix doesn't have a local media
problem. It has a local knowledge problem.

About Us

There are plenty of places to read about the Valley. But most of them treat Phoenix like a single city with a single personality. They'll tell you the best restaurants, the biggest events, the most prestigious neighborhoods.

What they won't tell you is what it actually feels like to live in the East Valley with a family of four. Or why West Valley residents wouldn't trade their community for anything. Or what makes the South Valley one of the most culturally rich and underappreciated parts of the metro.

That's what PHX Mags is for.

Our Mission

We help people find their place in the Valley not just a house, but a community.

The people, places, rhythms, and everyday experiences that make an area feel like home.

We believe the best local guide isn't a list. It's a voice. A knowledgeable friend who's been here long enough to know the difference between a neighborhood that looks good on paper and one that actually fits your life. PHX Mags is that voice organized by quadrant, written by locals, built for people who are still figuring out where they belong.

Why We're
Built This Way

The Valley of the Sun is massive. Maricopa County covers more than 9,000 square miles. And the communities within it - North, East, South, and West Valley - are genuinely different from one another. Different demographics, different energy, different pace, different priorities.

A Scottsdale newcomer and a Goodyear newcomer are not asking the same questions. We don't pretend they are. Instead of covering "Phoenix," we cover each quadrant like it deserves its own publication because it does.

What We Cover

Neighborhood breakdowns that go deeper than a Wikipedia summary. Community spotlights on the people who make each area worth living in. Local picks from residents who've earned the right to recommend. Events worth adding to your calendar. And the practical stuff the honest, slightly-funny guide to living in a desert city that gets to 115 degrees and acts like it's no big deal.

What We Cover

PHX Mags is a community-powered media brand. We rely on local editors, contributors, photographers, and residents who care about where they live. If you're a local with something worth sharing a hidden gem, a neighborhood story, a business making your community better we want to hear from you.
